Howdy Pathfinders!

Announcing local $5 Delivery to Maryland in Frederick and Washington Counties!

Last month was a wild one with the end of farmers’ markets and the release of our first Bourbon in collaboration with Dirk Martin from Foxcross Pottery during the Valley Craft Network Studio Tour. We only have a handful of the handmade bourbon jug gift sets left from batch #1. There were only 24 made from our initial 5-gallon barrel. Don’t worry, we’ve got 150 more gallons gracefully aging in Uncle Nate’s whiskey shack with an expected release next fall.

Pathfinder Farm Bourbon Batch #1. Hand made jug and cups presented in a gift set.

The weather has chilled and we’ve harvested around 2,500 bushels of Bloody Butcher Corn and earlier this summer four tons of rye. We’re excited to get this cleaned, ground, mashed, fermented and distilled into our next round of fine farm-made spirits for you. In January we’ll be making our first barrels of rye whiskey. Whatever doesn’t fit in the barrels will be released as unaged rye. I know many of our farm friends have been asking when it will be available so stay tuned in Februrary.

Orange Crush Moonshine and Daily Driver Whiskey. Pathfinder Farm Specialties.

For those missing the warm summer months and trips to Ocean City, we’re happy to share our favorite shore ‘shine Orange Crush. It’s Pathfinder Farm’s finest corn whiskey flavored with all-natural Orange slices and vanilla extract. Great for sipping straight from the jar, on ice, or mixing up with fresh-squeezed OJ or lemon-lime soda it’ll get you feeling warmer like the summer months. This batch is a limited release of 46 bottles and sells for $35 a jar including tax.

Next up is our newest release of Daily Driver, our finest sippin’ version yet. In collaboration with Mazzaroth Vineyard, it’s as if the stars aligned for Garry and Nate to meet on a Tuesday evening at the Boonsboro Farmers Market over fine sips of wine that a friendship would emerge. Garry made a wonderfully flavorful port wine with a blend of 6 varieties of grapes and aged it on new oak at the winery in Middletown, MD. His fine Port wine has flavors and aromas reminiscent of raspberry, blackberry, plum, and raisin. We aged our third micro batch of Daily Driver on new charred oak and the same oak planks so the finish is warm and fruity, reminiscent of Mazzaroth’s Port. If you’ve sipped fine Scotch Whiskey aged in Sherry casks that is the direction we’re exploring with this fine, limited-edition American Charred Oak Corn Whiskey. We have 66 bottles available for $47 each including tax.

Both are available this weekend, exclusively at the farm.
